MSG releases plans for $500 million renovation
Madison Square Garden will widen hallways, raise ceilings and build bigger luxury boxes and more restaurants and bathrooms in a $500 million renovation of the nation's best-known sports arena. The renovations announced Thursday won't change the exterior of the drum-shaped arena built above Penn Station, although knocking down some walls on the inside would give patrons street views from concourses twice as large as before.
